The purpose of the seminar is to inform the participants, who are involved in the process of processing personal data of natural persons in relation to betting activities, as to the basic principles that should govern such processing as well as the practical handling of issues arising from the General Data Protection Regulation in their areas of activity.

Participants will be able to identify the rights of data subjects and their obligations related to them and will be able to determine the correct way of collecting and processing personal data.  They will gain a clear understanding of the practical application of the provisions of the GDPR and understand the need for the change of mindset that the GDPR attempts to introduce in the context of their activities. In addition to the increased obligations, the Regulation attempts to foster a mindset of personal data protection.

By the end of the seminar, participants will understand the importance of personal data protection and will be able to understand their own role in the processing chain.  The aim is to assist participants in developing an effective framework and policy that will enable each organisation to manage the personal data it processes properly, by correctly applying the procedures provided for in the GDPR.
